Created in 1974, the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax is one of the oldest institutions belonging to the University of Sfax. It was established under the Act n° 74/83 of December 11, 1974. It consists in a public higher education and scientific research establishment operating under the aegis of both the Ministry of Higher Education, as well as the Ministry of Public Health.
